Feminist Film Producer & Founder

Producer, Actor, Founder of Evulve Productions

Esme Michaela

(She/They)

I'm a London-based feminist film producer, actor, and founder of Evulve Productions, a queer-led creative company building pathways for underrepresented filmmakers across film, theatre, and education.

Alongside running Evulve, I work freelance on creative projects, supporting films and ideas that align with my values.

My work is grounded in a few core beliefs:

  • You don’t need permission to start

  • Confidence is built through doing, not waiting

  • Access should be created, not gatekept

  • Representation has to be intentional to be meaningful

  • Creatives deserve systems that support their growth long-term

Personal Highlights

A few moments that have shaped my journey so far:

Parliamentary Screening

I was part of the producing team for a film that was screened in Parliament- a milestone that highlighted the power of storytelling in policy and public conversation.

Feature Film

I booked my first feature film role as an actor, expanding my experience within the industry and deepening my understanding of performance, collaboration, and storytelling from another perspective.

What I Do

Across Evulve and my freelance work, I help bring creative projects to life while supporting the people behind them. This includes:

  • Producing and developing film and creative projects

  • Supporting emerging filmmakers through structured guidance

  • Collaborating on feminist and queer-led storytelling

  • Building platforms that connect creatives to opportunities

  • Creating content and conversations that build creative confidence
